Tonight, on The CW (Channel 57) at 8 is a fresh episode of “Gossip Girl.” This one introduces a new character, Georgina (played by Michelle Trachtenberg), who is really bad for Serena (Blake Lively).

Last week Serena, known to Gossip Girl followers as “S,” was sent a variety of anonymous, tasteless gifts. Although she accused stepbrother-to-be Chuck (Ed Westwick), whose father promptly kicked him out of the house, it turned out that the real culprit was “G,” who sent her former friend a note that she was heading back to town.

Based on the nature of the gifts — pornographic materials, cases of alcohol and a bag of cocaine — viewers can be sure that Georgina will bring bad habits with her. Can reformed Serena resist the temptations? What dirty secrets will she spill about S?
