Michelle Trachtenberg is ready to be a 'bad girl.' The former "Buffy" star says she's excited to join the cast of "Gossip Girl" and she can't wait to bring her inner b***h to the show.

The 22-year-old actress tells Usmagazine.com, "I am super excited. [Creator] Josh Schwartz is an awesome dude and he is inspiring me to bring out my inner b***h!"

The "Ice Princess" star will play Georgina Sparks, an old friend of Blake Lively's character Serena van der Woodsen.

She continues, "I got to play a b***h when I did 'Six Feet Under' and it was super fun, and I think this show is young and is so on tap with what's going on today."

It had been reported that former "The O.C." actress Mischa Barton had been approached for the role but turned it down.

Trachtenberg will begin shooting her part next week. Her appearance will be in four episodes.
