With the MTV Movie Awards just around the corner, celebrities are stocking up on free goodies at a plethora of gifting lounges around town, so I decided to check ‘em out.

My first stop is Kari Feinstein's MTV Movie Awards Style Lounge, which is being held at a $25 million home up in the hills. Too bad they're not giving away mansions!

As I arrive, Gabrielle Union, Anne Heche and Kim Kardashian are already busy looking at an array of goods, from Trago tequila to Luxirie jeans to Grace cosmetics. "I love free stuff!" Kim enthusiastically tells me by the Rubber Duck footwear booth. Michelle Trachtenberg is also a swag fan. She even scores two roundtrip Silverjet airline tickets to London—nice!

Brooke Shields is here, gifting herself on her 42nd birthday. "I wasn't going to go out today, but I was like, 'Wait a minute, it's my birthday!' " she says to her pal Maria Menounos. Maria sings "Happy Birthday" to her friend, who doesn't look a day over 35. After Brooke picks up bags of celebratory goodies, she blows out candles on a birthday cake and calls it a very good day.
Meanwhile, Jessica Alba, accompanied by her brother and adorable nephew, peruses Hope & Glorie dresses, Likerr tanks and Babee D bags. Even though she's not hosting the awards this year, she's still given the best of the best—including diamonds from Tacori. Lucky girl!


Josh Henderson scours the guy gear, like Monarchy tees. The Desperate Housewives dude tells me he’s enjoying his summer hiatus. "It's nice for me right now, because I'm on a break," he says. “So, I can go to the beach and play volleyball or play golf.” And the best thing about this Valley boy? He's totally modest. "I'm okay," Josh tells me when I ask him if he's a natural Tiger Woods. "I just love going with friends, cruising those carts and having a couple of beers."

My next stop is Silver Spoon's Pre-MTV Movie Awards Buffet, where the License 2 Bling vendor tells me they're saving Paris Hilton’s customized crystal-studded license plate holder until she's done with her jail time. "The cops can take away her license but not her license to bling," he says. How clever.

Dancing with the Stars' Ian Ziering is here, and while he may not have won the competition in that show, he did come away with a nice set of chiseled abs, which he proudly displays while trying on a new tee from the golf-inspired line Hozell. Ian catches up with his former host Samantha Harris, who shows off her new Soul Revival "Goddess" dress. The Empire waist is perfect now that her pregnant belly's starting to show.


Also partaking in the swag is new mom Mel B, who keeps things spicy with a fresh pair of Soda sunglasses; DJ AM, who—with his new model gal Jessica Stam—picks up a Gypsy 05 sweatshirt; and Rachel Hunter, who departs with two armfuls of goodies! Ah, Hollywood—truly the land of the free.
