Cut Ups Reunite

Mary Elizabeth Winstead, the star; James Wong, the director/writer; and Glen Moran, the writer, had such a good time making “Final Destination 3” that they’ve gone right to work on another horror film … a remake of “Black Christmas.” That original was made in 1974, and its plot line — sorority girls get hacked — has been redone about 1,000 times.

But “it is different,” Wong told zap2it.com. “There’s the basic elements of ‘Black Christmas,’ which is Bob Clark’s movie. I don’t know if I want to give too much away. There’s stuff that is much darker in terms of who the killer is and how he got to be who he is and who he actually is.”

Winstead, Michelle Trachtenberg (“Buffy the Vampire Slayer”), Lacey Chabert (“Party of Five”) and Katie Cassidy (“Click” and “When a Stranger Calls”) will be the stalkees.

The film will be sliced, diced and otherwise edited in time for Christmas.
