Michelle Trachtenberg joins a sorority

Michelle Trachtenberg’s transformation from teen sensation to legitimate film star began with ‘Eurotrip’, and then sort of sputtered. But the lithe young actress is back at it, this time taking a stab at the horror genre in a new movie called ‘Black Christmas’.

According to Production Weekly, Trachtenberg has been cast to star in the film alongside Mary Elizabeth Winstead, Katie Cassidy, and Oliver Hudson. ‘Black Christmas’ drops them all in a Sorority house, where a killer terrorizes the kids inside with phone calls before he begins to murder sorority sisters during their Christmas break.

‘Black Christmas’ is being written and directed by Glen Morgan, who also wrote and directed the Crispin Glover remake of the rat-infested creep-out ‘Willard’. Michelle Trachtenberg was last seen in the 2005 kids’ movie ‘Ice Princess’. She’s just finished working on the movies ‘Beautiful Ohio’ and ‘Four Women’ and will next start filming on the rock n’ roll drama ‘Vinyl’.
