Milan Records to release the soundtrack for the Dreamworks Picture 'Eurotrip'

Album includes pop/punk rock, hip-hop and new renditions of The Who’s My Generation by French rock band, Chapeaumelon, Wakefield’s cover of Iggy Pop’s Real Wild Child (Wild One) and 99 Red Balloons performed by Goldfinger, among others.

On February 24, 2004, Milan Records will release the soundtrack to the new DreamWorks film, ‘Eurotrip’. Including the teenage angst/college pop rock featured in the film as well as some key dialogue from various cast members, this album showcases rock favorites, indie punk bands, international oddities and up-and-comers — including Lustra, who performs the film’s signature song, Scotty Doesn’t Know, it was announced today by Emmanuel Chamboredon, Founder and President of Milan Entertainment.

Additional artists include Wakefield who toured with Evanesence in 2003, Canada’s punk rock band, The Salads, German-adored David Hasselhoff, the hip-hop indie group, Ugly Duckling, Cauterize and more.

‘Eurotrip’ comes from the creators of ‘Road Trip’ and ‘Old School’ and stars new comers Scott Mechlowicz, Jacob Pitts, Travis Wester and Buffy the Vampire Slayer’s Michelle Trachtenberg. The film begins with high school student Scott Thomas (Mechlowisz), who has been using a German pen pal to help get an "A" in German class by translating his homework over the Internet. But when the pen pal suggests they meet, Scott’s initial reaction is to freak out. Thinking "Mieke" is a guy and some sort of older sexual stalker, he tells Mieke to never contact him again. When he discovers to his horror that his pen pal is actually a cute fraulein, (young female) he and his best friend, Cooper, (Pitts) fly off to Europe to mend fences and find the woman of Scott’s dreams. While in Europe, Scott & Cooper meet up with their school friends — twins Jenny (Trachtenberg) and Jamie (Wester). In an exciting and wacky trip, the four of them embark on a quest across Europe to find Mieke. Encountering everything from train riding molesters, to robot mimes, to insane, non-English speaking German truck drivers, these four recent high-school grads have to overcome unforgettable adversity to get to Berlin. The film opens as a wide release February 20, 2004.

L.A. based Boston rockers, Lustra have brought their East Coast rocking to Southern California with a taste for smoldering guitars and hard-charging rhythms. Their influences range from the Pixies to Fu Manchu to Cheap Trick. Beginning their career in Boston, MA, Lustra received favorable press and radio support and toured both locally and nationally in support of acts including Queens of the Stone Age and Staind. Lustra is featured in Eurotrip performing Scott Doesn’t Know live for the cast’s high-school graduation party.
