Trachtenberg acting 'Odd' for indie
Hollywood Reporter
Dec. 09, 2003
Michelle Trachtenberg is in final negotiations to star opposite Bijou
Phillips in the indie "Odd Girl Out." Shooting is scheduled to start Jan.
12 in Los Angeles with Deepika Daggubati at the helm.
Trachtenberg will play a 17-year-old boarding school student who is
considered the golden girl of her high school. She quickly becomes
archenemies with a new student (Phillips), who has been sent reluctantly
to the school by her troubled mother.
More problems arise when Phillips' character falls in love with the cousin
of Trachtenberg's character. Frank Sacco is producing through his Frank
Sacco Pictures along with Tom Joyner and Brian Barach from a script by
first-time feature director Daggubati.
The director of photography will be Matt Uhry.
Trachtenberg is repped by ICM, Peg Donegan at Framework Entertainment and
attorney Ira Schreck at Schreck, Rose and Dapello.
