20 Teens Who Will Change the World - Interview - Back Stage Pass -
February 24, 2003
Hey Michelle, how're you doing?
I'm great!
Awesome, so how do you feel to be winning this award?
Well you know, I you know it's just wonderful. To me it's not really an
award perse`. I'm just here to be able to tell children and teens and you
know adults that you can be successful without drugs, without alcohol. You
know, I am where I am today because I didn't get involved in that stuff
and I think that no matter what even if you come from an underprivilged
family or you know, not a secure background you can be amazing and
successful no matter what.
That's a great message.
Thank you!
How has being 'Dawn' on Buffy changed your life? So you feel you've become
parts of your character?
Um it's you know, I've never done an hour long series before so it's
definitely been a different kind of thing, and you know I've just been
introduced to a whole new family and a whole new world of fans and
friends. And yeah I think I've definitely picked up some parts of Dawn, I
think any role you play kind of grows on you after a while. Every
situation is great.
So you and the cast are close?
Um yeah more or less!
Well thanks so much I wish we had more time to talk but they're like
telling everyone to sit.
OH! No worries!! I know, we're all running around, they're telling all of
us to get in there and sit down.
Yeah! But thank you so much!
Thank you!! It was so nice to meet you. Thanks for having me.
