The 28th Annual Saturn Awards Nominations

UPN's anchor drama series BUFFY THE VAMPIRE SLAYER and ENTERPRISE and UPN
stars Scott Bakula, Jolene Blalock, Sarah Michelle Gellar, Alyson
Hannigan, James Marsters, Michelle Trachtenberg and Connor Trinneer have
been honored with Saturn Award nominations from the Academy of Science
Fiction, Fantasy & Horror Films. With a total of nine, UPN received more
nominations than any other network. The 28th Annual Saturn Awards will be
presented June 2002.
UPN's BUFFY THE VAMPIRE SLAYER and its cast received the most nominations
for a television series with five (tied with Sci-Fi Channel's "Farscape").
BUFFY THE VAMPIRE SLAYER received a nomination for Best Network Television
Series. Sarah Michelle Gellar was nominated for Best Actress in a
Television Series for her portrayal of the title character Buffy Summers.
A Best Supporting Actor in a Television Series nomination went to James
Marsters for his role as the vampire Spike. Alyson Hannigan, who plays
Willow Rosenberg, and Michelle Trachtenberg, who plays Buffy's sister Dawn
Summers, each received a nomination for Best Supporting Actress in a
Television Series.
UPN's drama ENTERPRISE and its cast received a total of four Saturn Award
nominations, including a nomination for Best Network Television Series.
Scott Bakula, who portrays the Enterprise's Captain Jonathan Archer, was
nominated for Best Actor in a Television Series. Connor Trinneer,
Enterprise's Chief Engineer Charles Tucker III, received a nomination for
Best Supporting Actor in a Television Series. A Best Supporting Actress in
a Television Series nomination went to Jolene Blalock who plays Vulcan Sub
Commander T'Pol.
BUFFY THE VAMPIRE SLAYER, currently in its sixth season on television, is
broadcast Tuesdays (8:00-9:00 PM, ET/PT) and ENTERPRISE, currently in its
first year, is broadcast, Wednesdays (8:00-9:00 PM, ET/PT) on UPN.
