Dream Analysis by David C. Lohff
From Seventeen - December 2000
Michelle Trachtenberg (Buffy the Vampire Slayer)
DREAM I'm on a desert island with palm trees and clear blue water. I lie
down on my towel to find that it's actually a big purple-and-gold chair.
When I turn, I'm driving down a road. I consult my map, and suddenly I'm
acting in Romeo and Juliet. When I walk offstage, I'm in a coffee shop. I
add sugar to my tea, and as I watch it swirl, I'm back on the island. With
a gentle gust of wind, I wake up.
LOHFF'S ANALYSIS This makes sense for someone experiencing postive career
growth. Purple and gold represent royalty and riches, and driving is a
common teenage goal. Romeo and Juliet is about love. Michelle may have a
new boyfriend or be ready for one. The transition back to the beach may be
a reminder that her life is very full and there is no need to rush things.
